HAPPY 2013

We hope you have a great New Year!  We had Carson here, he got to go to the Stake New Years Party and had fun! Dan got to work Midnight to 8AM and Gunny, Tootsie and me watched old re-runs of the Twilight Zone.  :-)
We are looking forward to a GREAT 2013, and hope it holds better things for us and for you all as well!!!!

Carson's Public Lands Stwardship Citation

In Tuesday Dec 18, 2012 Carson received a citation for all his hard work volunteering and helping out with stuff in the BLM, USFWS, and USPS (Fossil Butte National Monument).
Dan was not able to make it so I recorded Carson receiving his certificate, Turn up the volume, and enjoy, its almost 4 minutes long. Go to the link below to watch.

This summer Carson got to participate in the making of a video for the Kemmerer Travel council. He loves to fish and got to be filmed and a few second interview as well. Enjoy!

Also!!! Carson is being recognised by the Public Lands Foundation for all of his volunteer work over the past several years on December 18, 2012 here in Kemmerer at the BLM Office at 1PM. The foundation is made up of mostly retired federal employees and only give a few of these recognitions a year. Its not very often that a 16 year old gets this honor :)

Amanda takes her first board exam on Sat Nov 3.....Keep her in your thoughts and prayers, she is freaking out!

I remember why I love what I do after all......

Work has been tasking lately....After my shoulder surgery I have been stuck in the binds of the office...well finally today I escaped the ball and chain and got to go and check on locations and get new tires on my work truck......

After the tires were put on I went to check the seep location....They misty blue in the far background is the Unitas.

On the way back down the canyon I got to watch six Juvenal Golden Eagles play in the wind....I had lunch and watched them for almost 20 minutes!

 

 See the white band?? thats how you can tell its a Juvenal....

Rejuvenating!

Several miles further down the road I spotted these does browsing.

 Then the Wyoming traffic jam...... They are trailing the sheep :)

This line went for almost a mile...thats allot of mutton and wool!!!

Oh yeah....look close at the mirror...its broken the poor guy at the tire shop....good news! its my work truck and I did not do it! LOL!!

Gunny the GUN DOG

We went hunting this week and got two fawns down filling two of our four fawn/doe tags. Dan had both animals to drag back to the truck to clean so he had Gunny help him bring back the .357......LOL!

Gunny Loves to hunt everything except Ducks...well he likes hunting them too, as long as he doesn't have to get in the water, he would much rather carry the gun. :-)
We are happy to know we will have some wild game in the freezer this winter :-)

Healing

Deej's surgery went well on Friday. Luckily it was only removal of the bursa, and opening the joint ( taking some bone off the acromion see the little point?), three little incisions. Stiff and sore, but doing better. The number one thing that sucked about the surgery is it was on the 7th, and Pronghorn opened today the 10th...Deej drew a buck tag, and tow others for doe/fawn.....Dr. said four weeks. :-}
