Buffalo Wild Wings and Snow

The last snow we had in Kemmerer was the first part of December. Finally it started and didn't wish to stop. Dan got to play with his new snow blower and was happy.
Gunny likes to be outside, but hates the blower getting too close.

The sun came out today, and the City plows cleared the roads.

This is the back yard, Gunny still has steps, but a couple more storms like this one and he'll be hill climbing.

Last week Dans brothers Jesse and Hans sat out side the new Buffalo Wild Wings in Lehi. the first 100 got a years supply of wings. They were in the first 100. They get 6 wings a week for a year. But it was quite the adventure for them.
The girl in the maroon hat...she is the daughter of one of my old High School track friends Tom Morgan. I posted this on my Facebook, he saw it and had to get details of the connection. LOL What a truly small world this is.

Dan and Jesse when we stopped in to see their Urban camp site.
They took their sister Annie's old couch she was getting rid of , set up a TV with video games and a couple of tents along with a generator for power( when they got caught "borrowing" it from the building).
I doubt they slept much from what Jesse said. One big PARTY is what I saw. :D

Hans played games the whole time we were there.

Well, its been quite q week or two.
I will leave you with this thought from our good friend Smokey the Bear.......

Denver Adventures

I had to go to Denver for a training for work. Dan got to come along with me and we made a vacation of it.
First stop Bass Pro Shop...This place made Cabelas in Lehi look like Walmart!
Dan forund a display of cork decoys...look how excited he is!
This isnt the best picture but this was a small mason jar on a glass stem...awesome! we will have to get some LOL!! not the bottom corner of the box... ;-D
The aquariam was great too, check out this surgeon!
I texted this one to Carson
Amanda was the recipeant of this one too.
This was part of a huge mount of Bison...Every where you looked was a mount or something cool....We got lost and didnt want to be found!
Next stop was The Rock Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge
Dan got this great shot of the Bald Eagle.
This is in the visitor center
This was part of the equiptment that was used during the war to make munitions here.
The Refuge has a hurd of Bison on it...we didnt see the live ones, but this mount was huge!

Then on to the Budweiser Brewery in Fort Collins on the way home.
The horses were awesome! This team we were told is the actual team in the Super Bowl 2012 commercial. These guys are so funny, we watched them and had a great time watching them in their paddocks.
Time to go in for grooming and feed.
Dan asked the guy how it was to have such a great job...he replyed Its lots of shoveling! LOL!
This guy was taking in everything!
The dogs name is Brady..he came to say hi. SO AWESOME cant tell I loved it can ya?

This is one of the antique wagons in the stable. I miss the smell of a clean stable.
The stained glass was breath taking...Dan had me get this nice shot..also in the stable.
We took the free tour, by this time two of the horses were in eating.
This is the stable...so nice...  :-)
From here we went to the brewery...Dan and I laughed as we felt like we were entering Willy Wonkas Factory...Dan asked where the Ompa Loompas were. our tour guide didnt hear, or at least respond. LOL!
Inside the brewery.....This is where they cook up the first steps to making the beer.
We spent 10 minutes watching the cans fill and go for pasteurization...fascinating!
This was at the end of the tour. the cooling room lager cellar...we got a piece of beach wood each.

The Fire hydrants were all painted like Dalmatians LOL!

We finally made it home..it was nice to be in our own bed, and off the stupid road. I hate I-80, and the big rigs...so home was very welcome!
I'll leave you with this thought...from a sign at Bass Pro....
Till next time!! :-}

The Last Day of 2011

Well yesterday I was looking through my photos, and found this one from the end of December last year...

So I took this picture yesterday, about 1 year apart.

The lack of snow has me worried as a professional and as an individual. Last year was sooo good, but we need more winters like this to recharge our aquifers...OK off y soap box!!
So now I will give a fast look back at or adventures in 2011...
ENJOY!
We lost our dear friend Ralph Gifford in January...RIP one of the greatest men I have ever met.

We started Bountiful Baskets and have enjoyed the savings and delicious fruit and veggies every other week all year.....$15.00 each time for at least $45.00 in produce from the store :-D

My sis Kristina had her first baby...Little Eaven...Hes such a cutie!!!!!

Carson started Track at school. He lettered as a Freshman...Yeah thats my boy!!!!! Sprinter just like his mom :)

I had foot surgery and my work sent these beautiful flowers....It really made me feel better. AND the foot has never felt better in a very long time..so glad I found Dr Paul Daniels..He was a God send for sure!!

I planted my flower garden in the front...Dan made fun of me, but it turned out nice to spite the early June snow we got.

I cut the tulips before they dies off to enjoy them in the house. :)

We bought a great entertainment center for $50.00...

Yazzi came to visit..Gunny was her buddy the whole time, and she cooked marshmallows over the fire for the first time ever. She got mad at me at first then when she tasted it she couldnt get enough....

Dan had fun playing with Yazzi at the park too... WOW what a RIDE!!!! This slide is all rollers.

Yazzi loved the tire swing at the Diamondville Park.

We took our annual trip to Yellowstone too.....

We love to camp at Colter Bay and rent a Tent Cabin...It was a great trip!!!
We played on the beach at Yellowstone Lake for more than an hour...WOW it was FUN!!!
We also stopped at all the look outs...Dan missed the best view here LOL!! :-D

Carson Volunteered for the BLM Native Seed Program all summer...he logged over 300 hours. This is John Christensen our Field Manager presenting him with a certificate. He also got a leatherman and fleece jacket. Carson is a HARD worker and we are proud of him!

We had a truck slide off a shale hill into a creek and Dan and I both got to work together on it to recover it and he did all the mapping for me.
We FINALLY got our perfect dinning set...patience prevailed here we got this set for $100.00. Dan sold a hard drive we couldn't use that was still new and we bought the table!
Carson has a cute girlie friend ;-}

The Duck Hunt Opener...well sort of, our friends read it wrong, and it was date 2..but Dan dropped several birds on the river.

We brought Giffords kitty Tootsie home...hes been fun..silly cat Gunny is still jealous.
Dad and Etta came for supper, and Dan made lots of bead pudding YUMMMMM!!

We made cookies for Halloween...They were gone as fast as we made them hehehehe!

I went on training twice from the last week of November to the third week of December.....
Dan got his snow blower....too bad this was the first and only big snow we have had to date.....

So we are ready for Christmas.....
Soooo This should say it all LOL!!!

Carson claimed the quilt Karen made us for Christmas...he spent four fun days with us, and drove me around town...hes getting to be a good driver. :)

So we leave you with this as a welcome to 2012....to you our family and friends....have a SAFE and HAPPY New Year!!!
See ya next year!!!!
