The building we are in was the first Hospital in Kemmerer....I miss my washer and dryer, I hate the Laundromat, but June 1 we are hoping to move down stairs to the apartment we will be in  from now on. Three bedrooms and 1800+ sq feet. Much nicer :) and I can unpack these darn boxes!

MOVING

 

We get the "pleasure" of moving. The bank decided that they didn't want to work with us to stay, so we will be moving a few blocks east into one of the historic Kemmerer buildings. However, we will be in a smaller 2 bedroom upstairs apt. no washer or dryer or dishwasher. I have been spoiled by the dishwasher, but the other thing will be crazy! we have done it before, but I hate it! but this will only be for 3 to 6 weeks. I can do that :).

 

 We have been working on packing for the past couple of weekends, and it seems crazy here The mess is driving me crazy, but its not over yet.

 Whne we moved to Kemmerer the moving CO said we had almost 10,000 lbs of stuff, and we have accrued even more seince our arrival in 2010....We really need a good yard sale in June. LOL!!

The Elk

So my therapist Pam said I needed to do something for me...well that was a tall order. After some thought, I decided to paint an elk that I have had for over 10 years....here is the the project beginning to end...... (9AM done at 4 :30 PM).

Look close, I was trying to make it look like there were likens growing on the rock the elk is standing on.

 

 

Well now its done, and I think I need another ceramic project...it was relaxing. Dan will help me spray him with lacquer and I can put him among all my other Nick knacks to enjoy.

Carson @ Simplot Indoor Meet

I was not able to go to watch my boy run at the Simplot Games this year :-( But he called as soon as he was done with his 200 Meter heat. He ran in heat 3 lane 4 and finished 2nd in his heat by 100th of a second with a time of 23.89. see below, he was so excited that he was only 7 off from the finals. He said there were 111 runners for the 200 this year.
Last year he ran a 24.30, and was like 41st over all.
I'm proud of him and I KNOW he will have a great outdoor track season. :-)

Amanda is off on her Graduation trip to Disneyland and Christs well, she is being Christa.....

Family...kids....life...

WOW! Where to start...... I guess Amanda is the best place :-) She finally graduated from Dental Hygiene School Friday night Feb 8, 2013...We are really proud of her, and she WILL do well in her chosen career.  The pin around her neck is customary for Dental Hygiene grads, this is one of 13 of the FIRST from Fortis College. YEAH AMANDA!!!!

 

 

 

Last month January 31, 2013 I got to be a judge fir the Kemmerer Middle School Science Fair, it was a BLAST! I loved the creativity and enthusiasm of most of the kids, and enjoyed working with the other four judges too. :)

 

 

 

 

 Another "SHOUT OUT" goes to my Brother-in-law Jesse, he graduated Boot Camp the 7th of Feb in Georgia. He is now off to training in Communications...we ARE  really proud of him too, and the good choices he has made. It will be nice in August when we finally get to see him again.

 

 

 

So now with that I will leave you with a final thought from Bugs.....Today is Sunday, and I thought this said it well. Loony Tunes philosophy is always a good thing to live by :-)

Onward We Go 2013....

Last week I spent three days in Casper at a Reclamation Conference as a guest speaker. I guess I'm strange because I do enjoy these things, and I don't mind speaking. It was great to see old friends, and make a few new contacts.

 

 

Well then after the conference I had a job interview over the phone with the Utah State BLM Office. I was so busy I forgot to disable my ring back tone, yep as the picture gave it away, the ring back tone was Zip A Dee Do Dah.... nice ice breaker to start the interview. I guess that was a pre view for them of what kinda silly lady they'd be hiring should I be picked. LOL! Oh boy :-)

Well as this Mantis appears to be doing, Keep pushing forward in 2013.
