I was called out Wed for a hunter who had slid off a trail into a stream on BLM. The following are from Thursday while we drug it out of the creek....the driver was NOT hurt, but he did break the driveline, blew the fourweel drive and tore up the exhaust...dented the back passenger side pannel and broke the passenger side back light....lots of scratches, and did I mention this was his WIFES truck???? ouch!
In the creek ( the creek is only a foot or two deep here.
Up the 45 degree hill its only about 50 feet.
This is one of the tow crew...he got to ride up the hill.
We started hauling up at 11AM and the truck was ready to laod on the flatbed at 3PM....She still ran, so we hope that it will be repaired and the drivers wife will forgive him. We closed the road and the backhoe opperator helped build a diversion to help keep someone else from trying the same dumb trick.
I had to smile when my sweet honey said...:even I wouldnt have driven that far up the cow trail, Ida stopped back where the backhoe sat to pull him out." I have news for all....I WOULDNT HAVE BEEN IN THE TRUCK EVEN THAT FAR! hehehehe!!!!
Today Dan took a work friend Pronghorn hunting. Steve has has some health issues and cant drive, so it was a guys morning out.
He got this nice Buck...and they are currently grinding the meat to make homemade summer sausage. They cut out several nice roasts too. Hooray Stever!! and Congrats!!
Dan and I are off to Pinedale tomorrow to hunt the river for the Sunday Duck Opener....hope we bag out!!
