We started our Christmas adventures with Dave and Andrea Snyder and their kids. This is their daughter Aspen on their pony Twix...we had a great visit with them and Kaylee drew us some awesome horse pictures...Briggs has really grown up, and Kaden is quite the kid, I see how he keeps his mom busy.
Christmas eve night we went to Dans Grandpa and Grandma Frandsens house for supper and games. These bracelets are from them. The buffalo nickel bracelet matches the necklace Dan bought me at Rendezvous in 2009.. We also got a 50th anniversary sigh for the Taylor Grazing Act..REALLY COOL!!!!
During the white elephant game we got gift cards...Dan and I ended up with 2 Cabelas $50.00 cards and an REI $50.00 card..for the candy bar game Dan got his favorite Symphony bar, and I got a Godiva dark chocolate bar MMMMMM!!!!! we went and put luminaries in families graves after that.
After the cemetery we went back to Karens and Dan and his siblings played RISK. I sat and sipped my Diet Dr. Pepper and watched. below is Dan Hans and Jesse, plotting attacks against each other LOL!!
This is Dans sis Annie...she ultimately won the game..Jesse and her were the last to stand. Annies hubby Chris played too..thought I got a pic with him, but at 1AM who knows...the game ended at 2am and we went back to our hotel room....ahhh what a day!
The next morning we opened gifts at Karens and had a nice breakfast.
Santa left us toothbrushes in our stockings, and Dan was happy LOL!! the wrapping was from our quilt Karen made for us from her and Tracy. "KING DAN" who the turned into.....
The boogie man! we then had our own version of "nightmare before Christmas" only Christmas morning LOL!!!
This is the quilt Karen made us..its hard to see in the pic, but the dark area had barbed wire, and there are horse heads, horse shoes wheat and barn wood patterns in it...She batted it with wool, so it will be nice and warm.. I LOVE IT!!
We picked up Miss Yazzminn and headed to Maureens for Christmas, but first stopped to get Christa at work and to pick up Shawn. There are Ducks at Christas work as "pets" for the residence...Yazzi liked to watch them.
One kept flying up and hissing...but was really a scardy bird. She spotted a lone feather and ran to pick it up.
Although the date stamp is 12/24/11 it was really Christmas day.
This is the Duck who wanted to be tough...but was not at all. But for the fact he was almost as tall as Yazzi..I carried her when he was out of their pen.
At Maureens Yazzi was in her glory!! This is from Great Grandpa Dale and Etta..
See the date finally changed!
Christa and Shawn gave Maureen a Kachena doll.
Yazzi attacking her gifts
This was her favorite of the day...Princess shoes and crowns from Grandpa Dale and Etta
Her pony from Aunt Amanda and Uncle Andrew
Her pink mitten ornament for 2011.."Its Pink! I love Pink"! was what she said.
Great Great Grandma Maureen got her this darling dress.....
Yazzminn thanking her for the dress...her Grandma Kathy said she would be sure to have her wear it soon!
Shawn helped Yazzi open other gifts too.
Yazzi had to show her mommy how to open gifts, Christa was taking to long LOL!
Christa and Shawn got a bunch of small shampoos, conditioners and lotions from Dans Grandma Joann, Yazzi found some lotion and was quite happy. :)
Christa got a bag of coal, and its hard to take a picture when your laughing..
Amanda and Andrew enjoyed the circus
Yazzi in her princess shoes and crown
Christa walks to work, so we got her a good pair of warm snow boots.
Amanda opening one of their gifts, Rocky thinks it should be for him.
Yazzi was trying to put two pairs of shoes on her feet at once, we told her she had to wear them one at a time..she said NO! and put them on her hands and was running around on all fours...shes a silly kid!
We took Carson home Monday..we celebrated Christmas with him then, so we had a "double" Christmas dose.
The cookware is ours from Santa Family gift!
He was excited to get money from Grandpa Dale and Etta, and some from Grandma Pam and Jack too.
He got a gift card to Sportsman's Warehouse from Maureen and a popcorn tin...
Gunny waisted no time emptying his stocking and getting to the toys and treats!
Yeah hes spoiled too
Gift wrap all over the hall
Opening the gift from Betty Gifford......
Its an Atialtil (not sure of the real spelling, but I usually make it up as I go anyway :D )
Yeah hes happy :-D
Now Christmas is over for another year, its time to clean it all up, and say THANKS to everyone for the wonderful stuff!! Carson has claimed the quilt Karen made...
We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas..and will have a fantastic New Year too!!
