Whenever given the chance, Carson goes in search of rocks and fossils. So we went exploring today, just me , Carson and Gunny.
Gunny was looking under rocks because he watched Carson....silly dog.

Its hard to see, but this is root is crystallized . Carson thinks it may be a root to a palm tree.
Here is some fossilized bark.
Gunny got hot so he sat an watched for a bit.

As you see Carson is having a terrible time ....

Gunny poses for me in front of a choke cherry bush and a service berry bush on full bloom...no wonder my hay fever is fired up :-)
