House Hunting in Tonopah NV

We rented a car to go on this trip. You may recognize this cement tree...I had to get a shot for my friend from work, her son and some friends tried to cause it harm when they were teens. The best part, she had given him up for adoption, when this hit the news she had no idea one of the kids was her son. All these years later he has found her, and this is a "what were you thinking" memory for them both.

 This is part of the desert near Tonopah. Its not much to look at, but when you look past the endlessness, the desert has a beauty all its own.
 If your computer will let you blow up this picture. There are Desert Big Horn Sheep along the white strip. Its a hot spring and they hang out here most of the summer. After visiting with The Wildlife Biologist in Tonopah there must be a draw to the minerals here. It was 104 out, and the water is hot. Kinda cool I think ;-}
 Before we left Carson went to Walmart with us. He found this mask, and reminded us..." Don't make me mad....you wont like me when I'm mad....." I said; Bring it on greeny LOL!!

 This tree is on HWY 6 out of Ely. I have no clue why all the hats, but regardless its cool....

Finally 100 miles left. LOL

While we were there we attended the Nye County 4-H Livestock show (sorry the pics wouldn't up load). They had 5 hogs,2 turkeys and a market rabbit pen of three rabbits. We bought the rabbits. I have a few friends who are quite up set that we will be having the rabbits for supper and not as guests, as the main course. All three were 5 lbs, and I look forward to cooking them.
When the fair board found out Dan had a chicken project and dairy in FFA and I had Dog, horse and Veterinary 4-H...well lets say looks like we will be leaders :).... We really felt welcome by the residence there, and look forward to our new chapter the end of this month as we move to NV.
We found a Condo to rent, and a place we would like to buy if the stars are I our favor. Time will tell. I will try to update as soon as I can once we get to NV.

For those who need/ want it our new mailing address will be
PO Box 1433
Tonopah NV 89049

Our phone numbers will remain the same, I cant give up Wyoming 100%  :-}

Hope your summer is going well.
:)
