Simplot Games 2012

Carson ran at the Simplot Games Indoor Track meet this week. He ran the 200 meter dash, and was ask to run as a relay member for Judge Memorial. He placed in the top 25% for the 200 meter, not bad for a 15 year old.
I ran at the Simplot Games in 1984. Its cool to have my son run here to, and most likely the same track. I am very proud of him!
Dan shot a couple videos, and we both took several pics. ENJOY!!

Here are the Videos...I hope they work.

I know its hard to see, but Carson is in lane 6, cream (gold) shirt above the Subway sign. This is the relay.

He is walking to the line for his 200 meter here. he was in lane 5.

He is ready for the 200 here.

SCORE!!!!  24.30!!!! His current Personal Record!!!

This is the relay again, note the red cross for Judge Memorial. He made a great run for them, the team came in 4th of 6 in the heat and in the top 50%.

Final bend, and the camera wouldn't focus. hes in 3rd place here, white shorts center.

The blimp kept dropping cool stuff for the kids in the stands.

he was smiling, but timed it so I caught this look. Then he laughed.

Getting instruction before the 200 meter

He really did good!
And we had fun too...
See ya soon!

He is turning into a wonderful and talented young man...But I knew that already ;-}

This is the picture he texted to me...just the way he texted it to me too. LOL!!!

This was at one of the indoor meets...yes this is Mr. Speedy Carson, the blur just like his Momma. :-}

Sometimes I just gotta VENT!

GRRRRRR!!!!!
So Dan went to the Post Office to pick up his unemployment check so we could deposit it when we got my new debit card today. In stead of a check he had a letter telling hm due to the way he answered  one of the questions it created an "issue" he had to call in to resolve it. The problem was that he said YES to attending school or training, and that the Wyoming workforce services had NOT approved him attending school so he has to get more paper work from DVR, to see if he can get his check. I can understand if he had been unavailable for work for a week, or if he had worked, but didn't give the $ amount, but school? and they need to say its OK for him to get an education? BS! He is taking online classes so he CAN work if he finds employment. We will get the stuff faxed in in the morning, but it could take another week or more to resolve. The Lady over his account "informed" me that it was our responsibility to know what he needed to do (yeah and he told the TRUTH), and it shouldn't be such a problem for us to wait "just a week or so fro his check. She obviously has not had to rely on a second pay check,or been out of work trying to find what ever you can. "A few more days or week shouldn't be a problem, he will receive the check once we get the information and approve his schooling". I say anyone who works for unemployment and DVR or any other "service" should have had to experience the hardships of no job, and a injury/disability so they are more understanding  of what people are going through. If we didn't need the extra little bit, he would have applied for unemployment! A call on Monday (the date of the letter) would have been nice, rather than waiting for Thursday to have us get a letter. Yeah I'm angry, just had to vent. Thanks family and  friends for letting me cry. :-}

SO, on that note...................
