Denver Adventures

I had to go to Denver for a training for work. Dan got to come along with me and we made a vacation of it.
First stop Bass Pro Shop...This place made Cabelas in Lehi look like Walmart!
Dan forund a display of cork decoys...look how excited he is!
This isnt the best picture but this was a small mason jar on a glass stem...awesome! we will have to get some LOL!! not the bottom corner of the box... ;-D
The aquariam was great too, check out this surgeon!
I texted this one to Carson
Amanda was the recipeant of this one too.
This was part of a huge mount of Bison...Every where you looked was a mount or something cool....We got lost and didnt want to be found!
Next stop was The Rock Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge
Dan got this great shot of the Bald Eagle.
This is in the visitor center
This was part of the equiptment that was used during the war to make munitions here.
The Refuge has a hurd of Bison on it...we didnt see the live ones, but this mount was huge!

Then on to the Budweiser Brewery in Fort Collins on the way home.
The horses were awesome! This team we were told is the actual team in the Super Bowl 2012 commercial. These guys are so funny, we watched them and had a great time watching them in their paddocks.
Time to go in for grooming and feed.
Dan asked the guy how it was to have such a great job...he replyed Its lots of shoveling! LOL!
This guy was taking in everything!
The dogs name is Brady..he came to say hi. SO AWESOME cant tell I loved it can ya?

This is one of the antique wagons in the stable. I miss the smell of a clean stable.
The stained glass was breath taking...Dan had me get this nice shot..also in the stable.
We took the free tour, by this time two of the horses were in eating.
This is the stable...so nice...  :-)
From here we went to the brewery...Dan and I laughed as we felt like we were entering Willy Wonkas Factory...Dan asked where the Ompa Loompas were. our tour guide didnt hear, or at least respond. LOL!
Inside the brewery.....This is where they cook up the first steps to making the beer.
We spent 10 minutes watching the cans fill and go for pasteurization...fascinating!
This was at the end of the tour. the cooling room lager cellar...we got a piece of beach wood each.

The Fire hydrants were all painted like Dalmatians LOL!

We finally made it home..it was nice to be in our own bed, and off the stupid road. I hate I-80, and the big rigs...so home was very welcome!
I'll leave you with this thought...from a sign at Bass Pro....
Till next time!! :-}
